Meet The Founders
We are 3 cousins- Paola, Monica & Sonia. Born in Colombia, raised in the US and currently residing in Orlando, FL. We’ve been tight knit since childhood and share many common interests, like our appreciation for handmade accessories and a genuine desire to help others. A conversation sparked one day about starting a business together. The business had to be driven by passion and purpose. The Universe conspired to help us by presenting an opportunity to sell authentic Wayuu Mochila (bags). This was the catalyst to bring our vision to life and in October of 2019 Primavera Andina was born.
Primavera Andina has become known for its eye-catching and vibrant accessories. We offer beautiful jewelry and bags made by various indigenous communities, independent artisans and small businesses based in Colombia. Each piece is representative of Colombia’s rich cultural diversity. We buy directly from the artisans while also being charitable and giving back to their communities. This aids in preserving heritage, handicraft traditions and skilled work in Colombia. You can wear our accessories proudly knowing each product has a story behind it and your purchase makes a direct impact on the communities who make them.
Primavera Andina is a tribute to our family ties and our Colombian roots. The Spanish word, “prima” means cousin and “primavera” means spring; a symbol of new beginnings. “Andina” references the Andes mountains where we were born.
